Arun Shanti Education Trust
The Trust has been registered, as a Trust on 20.07.2002 with an object of setting up educational institutions. ASET has been formed as a trust aiming to set up the educational institution i.e. engineering college, research institute for the advancement and propagation of education and research. The Governing body of trust comprises of professionals with outstanding achievements who are found to be forward looking and competent to carry out the objectives of the society. Jodhpur Institute of Engineering & Technology is the brainchild of Dr. S.M. Seth and Mr. Shashikant Singhi and other Trustee's are Shri M.R. Singhvi, Smt. Renu Singhi, Shri Vimal Singhvi, Shri Hari Singh Shekhawat, Shri Arun Chand Singhi, Shri Manohar Lal Singhi, Shri B. K. Roy Chairman of the trust is Dr. S.M. Seth and Shri Shashikant Singhi is Managing Trustee of the Trust. All the nine members of the trust constitute Board of Trustees.
Arun Shanti Education Trust proposes to establish an engineering college at Jodhpur with an annual intake of 240 students with four emerging branches of Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering. State government has issued permission (NOC) for setting up such Engineering College. AICTE, New Delhi has given approved letter to setting up above four branches.
Dr. S. M. Seth,
aged 62 yrs. is B.E.(Civil) from University of Rajasthan, M.E. from University of Roorkee and Ph.D. from University of Menchestor, U.K. He has been accredited with AICTE Emeritus Fellowship and UGC Emeritus Fellowship. He has behind him a rich teaching and administrative experience of more than 40 years in various capacities such as Lecturer and Reader in University of Roorkee and as Director- National Institute of Hydrology, Roorkee. He has several papers in number of International (at USA, France, China, Netherlands, Italy, Mexico, Austria, hungry, West Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, U.K., Egypt, Japan, Ireland, Australia and Bangladesh) and National Conferences. His several papers have also been published in National and International Journals. He has been UGC nominee on Board of Governors of various colleges/ regional Engineering colleges. At present he is a member of High power committee reviewing the safety condition of old dams of Gujrat after the Earthquake. He is also the consultant to the various state government on dam safety including Rajasthan, M.P. and U.P. He has also author many engineering books on hydrology and hydraulics. He has guided 26 M.E. thesis and 9 Ph.D. He has been consultant to various International forums including UNESCO and WHO. He is also the founder Principal of Poornima College of Engineering, Jaipur since Oct. 2000.
Shri Shashikant Singhi :
obtained his B. Arch. (Hons.) from Sir J.J. School of Architecture, Mumbai. He has been actively involved in management of NASA (National Association of Students of Architecture). He has behind him an architecture consultancy experience of more than 15 years.
He has rich professional expertise and wide ranging experience in handling various prestigious assignments as architect, consultant and Project manager. He is also associated with number of Technical (Engineering, Architecture) Institutes, Research & Development Institutes and holding prestigious position and leaves no stone unturned to prove his abilities.
Er. Navneet Agarwal:
The Director of the college, is a graduate in Electronics & Communication. He has been closely associated with various existing engineering institutions of Rajasthan in the capacity of Advisor. His strong technical knowledge will benefit the institution for all round development of the college and specially for development of world class laboratories. His 08 years of experience in dealing with government, AICTE, University and other related organisations would help in forming the policies and execution of the same. His close association with the industry and the academicians will be useful for smooth running of the institution.
